Civil branch can provide you with a platform to go with PSU sectors or with government jobs. So, it also depends on your calibre that whether you want to choose civil engineering or architecture, it's your choice.

You can try Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. First, preference is given to GATE qualifiers but after that vacant seats are filled by students who haven't appeared GATE as well. Plus, you have experience so that would give you an edge.

First of all, give your 100% in B.Tech.
