To know if you are eligible for CLAT Exam or not you can visit the official website and check the notification. The notification which was earlier released by the consortium carries all important details like elgibility criteria, fees, exam dates etc. Once you have checked if you are eligible to appear or not then only you should fill the form.

The Consortium of NLUs has released the official CLAT 2025 Cutoffs. Candidates from the Other Backward Class (OBC) can check the official CLAT 2025 Round 1 Cutoff released . Based on the CLAT 2025 Round 1 OBC Category Cutoffs, the NLUs across the country will decide the closing ranks. Candidates falling under the closing ranks can apply at their desired NLUs.  This is for round 1.

Yes you can apply to Indore Institute of Law with a valid score in CLAT exam. The institute accepts CLAT for admissions to all the courses except LLM. Hence, you are eligible for admission in the institute. However, you must ensure to submit the valid scorecard for the same to apply for and confirm your admission in IIL. Additionally, if you don't have a valid score in CLAT, then you can also appear for the IILET exam.

To seek admission in the undergraduate law programme BA LLB through CLAT students need to qualify their 12th exam or equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST students). Students belonging to the general category must be 20 years old and SC/ST students must meet 22 years of age for admission. Undergraduate students who enroll in postgraduate legal studies need to maintain minimum scores of 50% in their completed law degree.

For the CLAT 2026 exam, there have been some important updates regarding the eligibility criteria:

  • Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for the undergraduate programme through CLAT 2026.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination. The minimum marks required are:

45% for general candidates,
40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories

Candidates who are appearing for their qualifying examination in March/April 2026 are also eligible to apply, but they must provide proof of passing the examination at the time of admission.
