Yes, it is necessary to attempt GK section in CMAT as unlike other MBA entrance exams, scores of GK are included in percentile calculation in CMAT. Total number of GK questions in 20 and attempting 8-10 questions correctly, can get the candidate desired sectional cut off in CMAT. So, while preparing for CMAT exam, do not ignore GK. You can prepare for it in the last couple of months with the help of year books as most of the questions are asked from Static GK.

The minimum academic criteria for MBA admission through CMAT is minimum 50% in graduation for General category students and minimum 45% for SC/ST/PwD category students. Even though this eligibility criteria is not mandatory for CMAT, it is the basic requirement for full time MBA as per the AICTE regulations.

For admission to MBA/MMS courses offered by State affiliated universities, Maharashtra State CET cell accepts CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT/ATMA scores too for All India category candidates. If you wish to participate in the MAH MBA CAP round through your CMAT score, you can fill the CAP registration form and participate in seat allotment rounds. No, CMAT is not compulsory for admission to the MBA course at CCS HAU. The university also accepts relevant scores of CAT for admission to the MBA course. Therefore, applicants with valid scores in CMAT can get admission to the MBA course. However, it is not compulsory. Moreover, at the time of filling out the application form for the MBA course, candidates must submit their admit card and scorecard of the entrance exam too.

To gain admission to the MBA Dual programme at PUMBA (Department of Management Sciences, Savitribai Phule Pune University) through the CMAT exam, you first need a valid CMAT score. After the CMAT results are out, you must apply to PUMBA. The selection process typically involves a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) round, which assesses your communication skills, leadership potential, and general awareness. Your final merit will be a composite score, usually giving significant weightage to CMAT, along to your GD/PI performance and academic record.

A CMAT score of 84.57% opens doors to many respectable universities, but it does not ensure admission to the most competitive government MBA programs. CMAT scores are accepted at many government colleges, including IITs and NITs, and the 84.57 percentile is within a range where you have a strong chance of being shortlisted for several of them.
