Entrance exam for JMI is definitely less difficult than CAT. I personally did not refer any particular book. Studied from internet and study material from a coaching institute. The concept should be clear to you. Thats it. Better you study according to entrance syllabus which will available from website.
Admission would be followed by entrance then GD and PI. Combined score will decide the admission. The forms will be out on Feb second week. And the entrance will be in June. So you should start preparing now. The entrance will not be that much difficult.
You can divide the syllabus accordingly and just devote your regular time. Cover to

You can apply to some of the tier for MBA colleges, but I would suggest you to give your best shot to CMAT and increase your probability to get into one of the best B-Schools.
Also, you have a chance with MHCET to get into some of the top B-Schools.

Hi dear,
CAT acts as a qualification test. Scores are secondary if you are not aiming for IIMs and top B schools.
At UBS, a Telephonic interview will be conducted and if you perform well plus your academic scores are better, you may get selected here.
But, before you plan to admit yourself into UBS, don't forget to visit the campus at first.

For BK, there is no sectional cut off. You'll have to secure at least 95 percentile in CMAT overall to get into BK.
