The address of CMAT exam centre will be mentioned in the admit card only, which means candidates will know the address of the CMAT test centre allotted to them only after they download their CMAT admit card. The exam authorities will not share the details of any exam centre before the release of CMAT admit card. The NTA however, releases city intimation slip before the admit card which contains the name of the city in which the test centre has been allotted. Candidates can choose up to four cities for allotment of CMAT exam centre in the application form. Candidates must take utmost care in selecting the cities as once the form is submitted, they can't change city preference. They should choose the first city of preference as their hometome or where they are residing as the exam authorities will strive to allot the test centres to candidates in their first city of preference. The CMAT exam is held for three hours. The exam is sometimes held in a single slot and sometimes in double slot. CMAT 2024 was conducted in two shifts. The first shift was held from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift was held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. There is no sectional time limit in CMAT. Candidates have to decide on their own how much time they want to spend on a particular section of the exam. PWD candidates get 20 minutes extra in CMAT. The exam slot allotted to candidates by the exam authorities cannot be changed. Candidates cannot request for change of exam slot or centre. They have to take the exam as per the slot and timings

  1. Do not carry prohibited items such as bags, purses, pencil box, beepers, wrist watch, calculators, mobile phones, electronic devices, scanners, cameras, wireless/Bluetooth transmission or any such communication devices.
  2. Don't wear jewellery made of metal, jackets, clothes with pockets, mehendi on palms and closed shoes. Socks are allowed inside it. 
  3. Don't wear goggles, caps & head gears, hoodies or jackets/shirts with pockets 
  4. Don't be late for the exam. The entry gates will be closed 15 minutes before the commencement of exam. So, reach the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the CMAT admit card.

  1. Reach exam centre on time.
  2. Carry two copies of the CMAT admit card, one photo ID card and a photo
  3. Carry a blue/black ball point pen for signing attendance sheet
  4. Cooperate with test centre staff

The CMAT admit card is a main document of identification of the candidate who will be appearing in the exam. To ensure that a candidate doesn't use proxy candidate for taking the exam, admit card and original photo ID is checked at the exam centre. The personal details mentioned in the CMAT application from and photo ID, should reflect on the CMAT admit card too. The following details are mentioned on every candidate's CMAT admit card. No, any electronic item including the watch, mobile phone, ipad, calculator, watch, smartwatch, etc. Is not allowed inside the CMAT examination centre. Any candidate found carrying such an item inside the exam hall will be disqualified. Candidates can check time on the onscreen timer on their computer systems during the CMAT exam. Apart from electronic items, stationary other than a blue/black ball point pen, metal accessories or metal jewellery and eatables are not allowed. On the CMAT exam day, candidates are supposed to carry a document of proof of identity along with the CMAT admit card. The proof of identity should be issued by the government of India, must not have expired and must have candidates photo and permanent address printed on it. No candidate will be allowed to enter the CMAT test centre without a valid photo ID card. The candidate has to present the original copy of the photo ID. Given below are the documents you can carry as a proof of identity to the CMAT exam centre. PAN card

No. You cannot change the exam centre after the CMAT admit card has been issued. You cannot take the exam at any other centre other than the one mentioned in your admit card, either. So make an informed decision at time of selecting your test city in the CMAT application form. Select only those cities where you can make arrangement of stay on the CMAT exam day. Choose your home city or city of current residence as the first test city. The examination authorities try to allot the test centre to a candidate as per their first preference.
