Dear Pranjal,
I'd say whatsoever the college is. If the college is located in Gurgaon, it can give you better placements as well as exposure like Paid Live Projects, Paid Winter Internships and Paid Summer Internship, International Conclaves, Seminars & Guest Lectures. If you note carefully, all these deals a corporate requirement. Since, the corporate hub is Gurgaon, neither a General Manager can take time to visit colleges in Noida, Ghaziabad or Delhi nor the student can travel all the way from their college in Ghaziabad / Noida / Delhi to attend the Conclaves / Seminars / Internships / Live Projects conducted only in the corporate co

Those who cannot get into IITs will always speak of joining NIT or BITS, JEE Advanced requires high skill and intelligence to pass unlike JEE Mains or BITSAT where the questions are easy and pattern is repeated but time is less. So if you are getting IIT always take it. I know one friend who got 217 marks in JEE Mains but could not even pass JEE Advanced 2018. He will definitely get NIT Trichy, but not IIT Bhubaneswar. I have also got IIT Bhubaneswar in the first round of JOSAA 2018. My name is not Sherlock Holmes by the way.

Hi,
Both the NIT are good enough and have equal importance. Both the NIT provide good branch and have equally good placement statistics. NIT, Rourkela is one of the best engineering colleges in India. With the best infrastructure and very good placements, it gives many opportunities to the students pursuing engineering in this institute. The college not only welcomes the students to pursue engineering but also offers higher study opportunities. It has an updated curriculum and the best faculty. The college has the best infrastructure and with numerous facilities, it is one of the best colleges not only in East India but also in India. I

I completely disagree with the previous answers. They are solely deciding on government vs private basis. PSG has a far greater reputation abroad than COEP. The branding of PSG is very poor in India, especially north India. This is because they do not conduct any examination of their own and use Anna counselling as the preliminary selection. They select very less students through interview and Mains marks. However a stronger alumni network will get you good opportunities abroad. As to the placements, PSG is consistently within the top 3 colleges with best placements in Tamil Nadu, the rest consisting of IIT Madras and CEG.

Hi,
According to me, IIT-Roper will be a better option for mechanical engineering.
