Yes, after obtaining a graduation degree in pharmacy, candidates can secure a government job in pharmaceutical sciences or in any other field of their choosing. BPharma prepares students to make a career in pharmacy and introduces them to important concepts like drug synthesis, manufacture, quality control, safety etc.
After doing BPharma at LM College of Pharmacy, students can apply to work in government-run dispensaries or medical programmes. They can also study further to get into manufacturing and research of government-run drug programmes.

LM College of Pharmacy admissions happens through the GUJCET/NEET/JEE Main entrance exams. These exams happen on different dates from March to June. Candidates should be up to date with cut-offs and the exam dates of these entrance exams if they want to apply for LM College of Pharmacy.
Once the exam results are announced, the counselling process begins. This year the counselling process will start from Sep 10, 2024, and the academic term starts from September 17, 2024. If there are vacant seats to be filled in the BPharm programme subsequent rounds of counselling will follow.

LM College of Pharmacy was set up in 1947 by the philanthropic trust, Ahmedabad Education Society, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. Its first programme was the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme and at the time it was affiliated with Bombay University.
This makes the institution more than 77 years old. LM College of Pharmacy is now affiliated with Gujarat Technical University and is approved by both the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Now the university carries close to 10 courses ranging from a diploma in pharmacy to a doctorate in pharmacy.

BPharm at LM College of Pharmacy is offered through offline mode. The classes happen on the campus and there are practical hours one needs to commit to in the campus laboratory. The examinations and viva also happen in offline mode.
Classes are divided into theory, practical and tutorials depending on the course. A student needs to complete the requisite hours to appear for the exam and secure the credits for the course each course contains credits in the range of two to six.

The BPharm programme has courses that are taught over semesters, such as Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals, etc. In addition to that, there are other courses as well which are taught only once, such as Computer Application in Pharmacy and Pathophysiology.
There are varying courses with varying credits depending on the lecture hours or if they have practical hours. In the first semester, there are courses with only two credits with two theoretical teaching hours, whereas, in the last semester the minimum credit for a course is four.

Yes, the BPharm course at LM College of Pharmacy has both theoretical and practical elements which means students have to pass both theory and practical exams to pass the courses in the program and the hours of the programme are also divided into theory and practical depending on the course.
Students have to complete certain minimum credits to complete the programme, credits are divided as per the hours of certain courses and if they have a theory or practical elements. The minimum credit score is two while the maximum credits a course can have is six.

Although reservation policy is not mandated for private institutions, LM College of Pharmacy follows the admission process laid out by the Admission Council for Professional Courses (ACPC), which is a public institution. Thus, it has to follow the reservation policy laid down by the government of India.
According to the current reservation policy, 49.5% of seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC categories, whereas 10% are reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and 4% of seats are reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwD). Along with the reservation of seats, ACPC also releases category-wise cut-offs.

There are 90 seats available for BPharm at LM College of Pharmacy, out of which 49.5% of seats are reserved for the SC/ST/OBC category, while 14% of seats are reserved for Economically Weaker sections (EWS) and People with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD).
The cut-offs for the year 2023 for 90 seats of BPharm at LM College of Pharmacy stood at 900023 which dropped from 800149. This meant that admission into the institution was easier in 2023 than in 2022. Cut-offs for the year 2024 will be announced as soon as the admissions process ends, candidates should apply for admissions as soon as they get their accepted entrance results.
