As per the UGC guidelines, no college in India can offer engineering and medical courses through distance mode. Doing this is illegal. So, you ought to go for regular mode.

If you can work for one more year with full dedication and motivation from people around you, then I would suggest take a drop and give your 100%. In the end, luck matters a lot. All the best!

Of course, go for NIT. They are the best in placements after IIT.

If you want placements, better not to go with SV, SK, Andhra universities
As of now, none of the universities is providing placements. Universities in Andhra Pradesh have become hubs of government job preparing students. If you want free time to prepare for government jobs, then go with these universities. Or else, go the top private colleges which provide best placements.
