To be eligible for admission to the BE/BTech course at St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology (SVPCET), the candidate has to score a minimum of 45% aggregate in class 12 with Physics or Mathematics as compulsory subjects from any recognised board. Eligible students will have to appear for either the JEE Mains or the MHT CET exam and score valid marks to be eligible for the course.

The JEE Main exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is conducted for admission to BTech in most colleges all over India, not only for the Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College. The JEE Main exam is conducted twice a year.
