Students concerned about failing a course at UQ Australia should immediately:

  • Speak with course coordiantor for advice
  • Seek support from the UQ Student Services
  • Check if you can Withdraw Without Penalty from your course

Students who fail the same course twice or fail multiple courses will be required to "Show Cause". They have to explain why they should not be excluded from their program.

Yes, Indian students can get a full tuition refund only if they withdraw from their course before the official census date (usually the first few weeks of the semester) or if the university cancels the course.

After the census date, refunds are rarerly approved except in exceptional circumstances.

The Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) fee for Indian students is AUD 373 (INR 25 K) at Queensland University. This fee is charged to support the non-academic services offered on-campus to Indian students.

The fee increases every year and for per-semester calculations, students are advised to refer the fee invoice on my.uq.edu.au.

Yes, tuition fees for Indian students does change annually at Queensland Uni. The fee is adjusted to make up for inflation and rising costs. The overall tuition costs of a programme can change if the course load varies or if specific courses have different tuition rates.

Check the course page of Queensland Uni on Shiksha Study Abroad for the latest tuition costs.

Yes, students can transfer to a different college/major at CMU Pittsburgh. However, it is not guaranteed.

Change of course within the same college is easy. It requires students to submit a change of course application and meet the entry requirements for their new course. To know more, check the CMU Pittsburgh website.

Extracurricular activities are very important to get a seat at CMU Pittsburgh. It serves as a key indicator for "passion" and how invested a student is towards their area of study.

For STEM fields, research, publications, and projects are given very high importance. For Business courses, experience in leadership roles or event organisation and management is highly valued.
