The eligibility criteria for admission to M.Sc at IISER Kolkata is done in two processes. The candidate who have already completed his/her under graduation in any Science department can directly apply to the particular institution. And the selection will held on the basis of the percentage in undergraduation level . In the other cases the institute will conduct the entrance exam to that particular department with the duration of three hours which is a computer based exam . Based on the score the student is allowted into institute . For all this processes student must with the above 60% in the undergraduation level.

The students who are pursuing their UG and PG courses in the IISER institutes (which includes IISER Kolkata) will awarded with the KVPY - Kishore vaigyanik protsahan yojana scholars as per KVPY norms .
Along with this they are also eligible for the scholarship from the department of Science and technology in limited range with 5000/- in INR . For this the depatment of Science and technology selects the students who secured the highest marks and Percentage in the entrance exams who are admitted through JEE and SCB .

The admission process for the B.Sc at IISER Kolkata is based in the entrance exam . To get seat in the IISER Kolkata or any IISER institutes one should write any one of these entrance exams like IAT, SCB, KVPY, JEE advanced. And you need to secure the cutoff marks and the better rank . The closing rank for the general category in JEE is 400 to 1805 .
And the age for the students must complete 17 years old along with the 10+2 certificate holder . You need to provide the non resident certificate if you are belongs to other state and also gap certificate incase of any gap you taken .

For entering into IISER Kolkata or any IISER institute one should appear for one of the three exams called SCB, KVPY, JEE advanced.
Depending upon the type of exam you appeared and the toughness of the exam and no of students appeared for exams along with the no of seat available the cut off marks for the particular institute of IISER is decided .
The closeing rank in the JEE advanced to enter into these IISER Kolkata is 1815 . In marks wise you need to get around 160 -170 out of 240 in institute exam of Kolkata for the general category students

There are several courses which are offered by the IISER Kolkata . In my opinion department of the physical sciences is best in the IISER Kolkata why because this IISER is reputed for physical sciences . And along with you can also go with the other courses like BS-MS in biological sciences and BS-MS in chemical sciences and also BS-MS in easrch sciences. These four courses are the best top rated courses which are offered by IISER Kolkata .
Along with these there are several other courses like BS-MS in geography, mathematics.etc.
Forget about all these just pursue what your heart wants not what your eyes catches

Actually course fee for M.Sc in IISER Kolkata have several packages depending upon the course your are taking .
This is including only the institute fee except the hostel and power charges .

Ph.D = 34,350 (1st Yr Fees) Post Graduation
M.Sc + Ph.D= 43,750 (1st Yr Fees) Graduation

Post Doc = 29,800 (1st Yr Fees) Post Graduation
There is no further institution fee for the students instead of this

The average package for the M.Sc students at IISER Kolkata is about 14 to 16 Lacs per annum in Indian rupees when coming to abroad INR you may get around 60 to 70 Lacs per annum . And this values I have mentioned above is completely depend on the student's interview given, his percentile in academic studies along with the skills he/her have in the research field . Actually the values of the package I have mentioned about is decreased a bit recent times so the exact value is now same.
