Yes, Bangalore University admission to several UG and PG courses are based on candidates' performance in an entrance exams. For example, the University accepts KMAT entrance exam for admisison to the MBA course. Additionally, Bangalore University also accepts KCET for BTech admisison and PGCET for MCA admission. Apart from these, the University also accepts national-level entrance exams such as CAT, MAT etc.

The IISc Bangalore BTech is INR 8 lakh. The duration of the course is for four years. Moreover, those candidates who want admission need to fulfil the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for IISc Bangalore admissions is that candidate should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate. Yes, the University has a well-dedicated Placement Cell. More than 90% of the students opted to work in the social sector such as NGOs, Government programmes, Schools, etc. Among these, 80% of the students are working in rural areas and small towns.
