MSRIT is better than BMSCE.
Almost 90% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. A top recruiting company that visited our campus for placements is Johnson & Johnson. Top roles, like digital system, circuit, and coding-related roles, are offered to the students. About 60% of the students from our course got internships at startup companies. Infrastructure:

The placements are very similar in the colleges mentioned, this is because all three are in Bangalore and the same companies visit these campuses to recruit students. You may have an odd company visiting only one of these campuses but the average salary is the same and the same profiles are offered at all of them. But RVCE ranking is high compare to MSRIT

RV college of engineering is the rank one college of karnataka. There is a huge competition to get into this college from all over INDIA as well as different parts of the world. Coming to your question there are two ways for you:-
COMEDK- This is the merit based entrance exam for the 30% of the total seats. This is an online exam which has multiple choice answer. If you get top rank in Comedk then you may get a seat here.

Talking of Mechanical Engineering:
Thanks to the reservation system, it depends on your caste. If you're from SC/ST, a rank of somewhere around 200 would be enough. If you belong to the OBC categories then a rank of around 100150 would do. Here comes the big one!
If you're from general category, you need to have a rank of around 25! Yes it's 25 only. Speaking of other branches, you can just take twice the ranks I mentioned. Visit for details: http://www.btechadmission.co.in/.

Generally, the closing rank in KCET for RVCE:
Civil: 3354
CSE: 573
ECE: 798
EE: 622
ME: 584
From the above tables, we can suppose that KCET which see a number of applicants higher than that of COMEDK, but yet latter has a similar cut off as KCET but for less number of candidates. Although one can't exactly tell what should be your rank to be able to get a seat in RV college of engineering as the last year cutoffs can't exactly predict your chances as the cutoffs are based on so many factors so it isn't ever constant.

But to be on safe side, its best if you have:
Civil: 2500 (COMEDK), 2700 (KC
