Hello Mohan,
Lateral entry into 2nd year of engineering after diploma is normally restricted to students of that state only. Of course one needs to score good marks in Diploma to get a desired college.

Hi Rohan,
Though your percentages are on lower side, it is certainly not impossible to get calls from ABC. But, do remember that these class 10th and 12th scores carry significant weights for calculating the composite scores. So, even after getting a call, it will be difficult to get the final admission. As you are from a non-engineering stream, you would get additional points for academic diversity which could help your case. Having said that, there are many other good MBA colleges that you can get if you score a good CAT percentile. So, my advice would be to not limit yourself to aim by aiming for a particular CAT score but rather aim

Hi Rohit,
It is not mandatory to have work experience for joining IIM Bangalore. However, understand that while selection, a certain weight is assigned for work experience and you will get 0 in that category. Having said that, it is not entirely impossible. I am currently a first year student at IIMB and I joined straight out of B-Tech without any work experience.
Just have faith in yourself. All the best.

Hi Rikshith,
First of all, understand that no one can reliably tell you the exact minimum CAT percentile that you need to get an interview call from IIMB. The shortlisting criteria keeps on changing every year. Broadly speaking, some weights are assigned to each of class 10th, 12th, graduation score, and work experience (both in terms of number of years and relevance). Also, extra points are given to non-engineers (academic diversity) and for gender diversity. My take on this would be that past is already written and there is nothing you can do to change it. Your aim ideally should be to score as much as possible and not restrict yourse

More work experience gives you a better placement option. Packages depend on your skills.
