Medical Electronics (which is mainly related to designing of medical equipment's) will see a growth in the coming years due to the growth in health care business and new technology inventions in the area but as of now the career scope is decent and not very booming. You have good percentage now. Try to score good in entrance to chase few top tier I MAT.
50% is a decent safe benchmark. You should know in core finance job profile, maximum MNC demands 55-60% and for sales, few top FMCG giants and pharma company demands 50% in/upto graduation.
Though, you can have an unbiased view through linkedin/quora alumni chat to have a 360 degree view), if you have 97% onwards can chase SIMSREE-Mumbai, PUMBA-Pune, XIME-Banglore, KJSMAIYA, JBIMS.
Choose your area of interest, then choose your college according to that.

The college or university conducts its own entrance exams, and there is no other way you can get admission in these colleges/universities. So, yes you need to write the entrance exams.

You need to check on the university website for any such information. As of my knowledge, there are hardly any 2nd Cut off lists.

Your first preference should always be the course that you are interested in. Therefore in my opinion you should choose according to the branch that you are interested in.

2nd campuses are good but not good as the main campuses. Your preference order should be SRM then MIT then MSRIT and then BVP.
