The college is almost same as the top local colleges for the management studies. Though, the placements are good, but one has to face a hard time to get abroad placements.
The IFIM business school, provides with the large number of vivid courses in the management studies as well as welcomes a lot of corporates in the recruitment drives.
The average packages is 6 lakh per annum and highest ever gone to 17 lakh per annum specifically talking for the MBA aspirants.
Now, for the foreign opportunities, few companies recruit for the international vacancies too. Though in many years, the companies returned empty handed as they were unable to find the correct candidate.
So, one can apply for the out campus drives or can go for direct interviews.
Hence, there are no lack of opportunities for what one want to achieve, though it may be so when it comes to college's own efforts.

Honestly speaking both colleges are good. They both are government top management college and the tag of any college in your CV is good. You can prefer any college after reading this, but keep in mind studying away from home is very hard.So try to take the nearest college.
Placements at IIM, Bangalore, and IIM, Ahmedabad:-
At IIM-B PGP 2015-17 placements there were 410 students. About 413 offered were made while 410 offers were accepted. Approximately 150 companies participated. Top recruiters for summer placements were The Boston Consulting Group, Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Aditya Birla Group, McKinsey, and company, AT Kearney, Bain and Company, Snapdeal, Cognizant Business Consulting, MH Alshaya, Flipkart, Airtel, Citibank, Hindustan Unilever among others. The companies which recruited from IIM, Ahmedabad include Accenture Strategy which was the top recruiter which was closely followed by Bain & Co 16. The other prominent recruiters were the Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, McKinsey & Company, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Barclays, Avendus Capital, Citi Bank, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Microsoft, Cognizant, Google, Samsung, Wipro among others.
