Requirements for Undergraduate courses

·      English Language Requirements - IELTS – Academic (6.5 with no less than 6.0)/ TOEFL iBT (88 or above with no less than 20 in each of the four components)/ PTE Academic (65 with no less than 60 in each components)/ Duolingo (125 or above)

·      Quantitative and Analytical Skills Requirements – Must score a minimum of 50% in Standard XII level Math for admission

·      General Admission Requirements – Submit your academic transcript which includes interim standard XII level marks

·      Additional requirements as per the subject

Requirements for Graduate courses

·      General Admission Requirements – Must complete the full IB Diploma, including at least 3 HL courses

Students who complete their studies at a relevant high school and/or recognized post-secondary institution will be considered for admission. International applicants must be in good standing and demonstrate an acceptable level of proficiency in English. UNBC has country-specific academic requirements, thus, for Indian aspirants the requirements are as follows:

Undergraduate Admission

Students must have Class 12 or Standard XII Board Examination results issued by examination boards, such as ISC, GCSE, AISSCE, etc. For general entry, students should have a minimum average grade of 50% or higher in English Class 12, three academic subjects, and an elective. Apart from this, students who have a three-year diploma issued by a state board of education will also be accepted. A minimum average grade of 50% or higher is required for general entry.

Additionally, any one of these English proficiency test score is required:

English requirements can also be fulfilled if the student has:

• A final grade of 75% (B) or better in a university transferable English course, or
• Completed two full years of full-time degree level studies or equivalent at a recognized institution where English is the language of instruction.

Graduate Admissions

Indian graduate applicants should possess any of these academic qualifications from a university or institution accredited by India's National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a grade of A or better. GRE or GMAT may be required as per course requirements.

The Simon Fraser University requirement for international students to study BBA programme are as follows:

• A min. of five approved Grade 12 courses, including English Studies 12  (min 70%) or equivalent.

QUANTITATIVE AND ANALYTICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENT

You must fulfill this requirement in one of the following ways:

• A min. grade of 60% or C in an approved grade 11 or grade 12 math course

OR

• A min. score of 3 in IB Mathematics, Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, Mathematics Applications or Interpretations, or Math Studies

English Language Requirements

A satisfactory score on one of the following English language proficiency tests:

• IELTS – Academic- All test formats accepted with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 with no part less than 6.0.

OR

• TOEFL iBT- with an overall score of 88 or better with a minimum score of 20 in each of the four components (listening, speaking, writing, reading).
