It will take two years atleast to complete your PhD program. It will be mandatory for the students to attend 3 sessions in full-time residence at the university or at any other institution which is approved. The students will start writing their thesis once their coursework is complete.

Also, before you start working, you will have to obtain your Numero d'assurance sociale (NAS) or Social Insurance Number (SIN) in order to work and earn in Canada.
