KPU has a total of 20726 students which includes 15528 domestic students and 5198 international students. Majority of the students are enrolled in either Business or Arts. Total number of students enrolled in Business is 7499 and 5843 students are studying Arts. Total of 12812 students are enrolled in fulltime programs out of which 4000 are international students.

The acceptance rate for KPU is 60% which makes it moderately selective. The admissions are not highly selective here. This means out of 100 applicants 60 students have the chance to get admission. Although, the university assesses the applications individually. The university is moderately selective of its students. Kwantlen Polytechnic University has five campuses. The Kwantlen Polytechnic University does not offer any on-campus student residences. However, students can find several great housing options in Metro Vancouver. It includes homestay and student accommodations. Students can choose to stay in independent studios or apartments based on their requirements.

International students can expect a decision after 5-7 business days of submitting an online application. The offer letters will be issued after the university processes all the documents provided by a student. The offer letters will be issued after 20 business days, whereas a Letter of Acceptance will be issued after three business days. Students might have to pay an additional fee as a confirmation deposit.

The application fee for both undergraduate and graduate international students is CAD 120. It is non-refundable. Students can request fee waivers from the university if they need financial assistance. The fee deposit of confirmation for Open Intake programs is CAD 5,000, and for Limited Intake programs, it is CAD 5,000 for international students.
