If the applicant wants a fee waiver, then she or he must have a counsellor, or another school official, request an Admission Application Fee Waiver for a student who meets an indicator of economic need, such as those eligible for free or reduced lunch, to have the student's $40 application fee waived. Once the Admissions Office receives the request, we will send you a fee waiver code to use to finish your application.

To complete and submit your application form you are required to pay an application fee. The application fee for new applicants to the University of Alberta is CAD 125 and CAD 75 for current or previous University of Alberta students. The application fee is non-refundable.
