For studying abroad you need a valid Canada study permit issued by the embassy of Canada in your home country. The cost of Canada student visa is CAD 150. If the duration of your course is less than 6 months, then international students do not require a study permit. However, if your course length is more than 6 months then you are required to apply for a study permit in the nearest Canadian embassy. Importantly, you need to know that the study permit is not a visa, once approval for your study permit comes through, Canadian government will automatically give your either a visitor visa or an eTA visa.

Thereafter, your application will be sent to the department for review. It will usually take 4-6 weeks for the same to get processed.

The University of New Brunswick is known for its Masters programme in Computer Science. The course includes the following:

• This is a full-time course with a duration of 16-24 months. Part-time study is also possible for students.
• The co-op option for the MCS course can also be added. It incorporates 8 to 12 months of work terms.
• The co-op option helps students in financial aspects and it also provides job experience to students at an advanced level.

During studies at UNB, Indian students can work both on and off campus. Student can work up to 20 hours per week during their semester and vacations. They can work full time also. For working on and off campus, students have to fulfill following requirements-

• Permission to study and students must be enrolled in full time course at UNB
• Social Insurance Number needs to be shown to be eligible for paid work.

The University of New Brunswick is known for its Bachelors of Science course in Computer Science. The course includes the following:

• Students have to take 5 to 6 courses per term in order to complete 8 study terms.
• Every student is required to complete 12 credit hours of courses with an extensive English writing component
• The student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0
• Atleast 5 out of 7 technical elective courses must be 3^rd year or above

The Entrance Awards are offered to undergraduate students who are entering the Fall term. These scholarships are awarded according to leadership, academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, community service, financial need and cultural identity of students. In order to complete the undergraduate application at Dalhousie University, students are required to pay the application fee.

• The application fee for undergraduate studies is CAD 70
• The applicants can submit the application fee online

For admission into the Bachelor of Science course at Dalhousie University you must have completed class 12th, have the minimum overall average in the subjects as mentioned and a qualifying final grade in 12th class Academic English, with Pre-Calculus Math 12, and three additional academic subjects. For admission into BSc courses at Dalhousie University it is advised to maintain the English language proficiency scores as given below:

• IELTS: 6.5 & above
• TOEFL: 90 & above
• PTE: 61 & above

At Dalhousie University, there are two types of PG programs – course based and thesis-based. The thesis-based PG programs takes 1 year+ to complete. Whereas, the course-based master's programs generally take between one and two years.
