Yes, SKR Engineering College can be considered a good college. It is affiliated with Anna University and recognised by AICTE. Placement scenarios are fair, with approximately 50-60 percent of students being placed in companies like TCS, Wipro, and local firms offering an average package of INR 3-5 LPA. The staff are well qualified, but the quality of teaching is uneven. The campus provides standard facilities like labs, a library, and a hostel.

The TNEA counseling is conducted by Anna University. It is conducted for all colleges in Tamil Nadu, not only for Loyola - ICAM College of Engineering and Technology. The result date for this is usually decided from the TNEA schedule released officially by the Tamil Nadu Government. Generally, results are announced 2-3 months after the process has started. For example, the process was started on 6th May 2024, and the results were announced on 13th August 2024. In 2025, the process was started on 7th May and the ranks were allotted on 27th June.
