Saveetha Engineering College does not offer any direct admissions. Students seeking to get into the courses offered at the college need to satisfy the admission criteria of the desired programme including participating in the counselling process for seat allotment. The college admits students based on valid score in either the college-level exams, such as Saveetha Engineering Aptitutde Test/ Saveetha Management Aptitude Reasoning Test (SEAT/ SMART). Or a valid score obtained in the accepted entrance test.

The total fee for a BSc course at IHM Chennai is around INR 4.95 lakh. On the other hand, IHM Hyderabad BSc fees is INR 3.3 Lacs for a three-year duration. Hence, IHM Hyderabad is more affordable for BSc courses compared to IHM Chennai.
