Stella Maris College has not specified the minimum aggregate for admission. However, candidates are required to qualify a minimum of Class 12 for admission. Aspirants must pass HSc in relevant subjects for UG admission. Aspirants scoring 60% have a good chance of getting admission in SMC Chennai.

The selection for all UG and PG courses is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. The institute conducts an entrance test before the interview for BA English and all PG courses. Candidates are also called for personal interview for selection. The list of provisionally selected applicants will be uploaded on the College website on the day of interview. Shortlisted aspirants with their name in the list need to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute. Out of the total, 50% of the seats are reserved for the minority Catholic community.

The fee for the application for Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) programme at SRM College of Occupational Therapy is $159, it is for the first programme applied to through the Occupational Therapy Centralized Application Service (OTCAS), with an additional $69 for each addition of the program. Some could have supplemental fee, so applicants should check. Fee waivers for qualified candidates are on basis of income criteria, provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the start of the application process.

SRM College of Occupational Therapy conducts SRMJEEH (UG) exam for securing admission to the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) program. Also, candidates must have the eligibility criteria of passing 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology, with about minimum of 50% marks. The date for SRMJEEH happens in May and June each year. It's important for the candidate to perform good in the examination so to get B.O.Th programme at the SRM College of Occupational Therapy.

The end date of the admission at SRM College of Occupational Therapy is in the first week of April. In 2021, the slot booking required for the SRMJEEH exam was to be done by 1st week of April, with the examination being scheduled on April 12 to April 20. Every year these dates vary a little and need to checked .The guidelines need to be adhered for conducting hassle free application process and complete admission to the programme at the institution.

The latest cut-off information for admission to the B.Com is currently not available as the new admissions start in June. The admissions for the B.Com courses at Loyola College is based on merit-list only. However, according to reports the last cut-off for the general category in 2023 was 37.5% -40%.
