No, GATE is not compulsory as a valid rank in CEED is also acceptable. GATE is just one of the criteria for selection. Hence, candidates without a GATE score can also apply. Apart from this, it is necessary for each aspirant to meet the eligibility requirements or else they shall not be able to pass the document verification round even if selected based on the entrance test score.

The school shortlist students for the M.Arch course based on a few parameters. Candidates' score in GATE/CEED, portfolio of work, personal interaction with faculty and/or written test, interest and motivation for the chosen study and work experience are the parameters for selection. At the time of admission, students have to submit the scorecard of the entrance test, pass certificates for academic records, etc. or the school holds the right to cancel the admission.

For admission to this PG course, aspirants must meet the minimum eligibility and selection requirements. Thus, the applicant must have a valid BArch or equivalent degree. Moreover, the based on the applicants scores in GATE/CEED, the selection is created. Candidates who make it to the rank list can confirm their seat by visiting the SPA Delhi admission office in person.

The courses offered by the school are BArch, M.Arch, MPlan, BPlan, and MDes. In addition, SPA Delhi offers two doctoral courses as well. These courses are offered in the Architecture & Planning, Design, Humanities & Social Sciences stream. The full-time and part-time PhD courses are offered in various specialisations, including Architecture, Industrial Design, Environmental Planning, Housing, etc.

According to the SPA Delhi NIRF 2022 report, a total of 33 UG (5 years) and 22 PG (2 years) students were placed in the SPA Delhi placements 2021. The median package offered to UG (5 years) students was INR 5 LPA. In addition, for PG (2 years) students, it was INR 5.50 LPA. SPA Delhi offers scholarships each of INR 12,400 per month. These scholarships are offered to students based on their merit. The scholarships are offered as per the terms and conditions that may be periodically established by the Government of India, AICTE, and the School for the non-sponsored category of students admitted to master's programmes with a valid GATE or CEED score (only for ID students).

The aspirants must fill out the SPA Delhi application form to be eligible for admission. Further, candidates who are applying for BArch and BPlan courses will be allotted seats basis their performance in JEE Main. For PG course admissions, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in the relevant field of study with 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST/OBC). Moreover, the application form is available online and offline.
