There's no second thought before I write this. Of course, it has to be NID, as it's an institute of national importance. AAFT, on the other hand is a private institute and is known for B.Des as well. NID is best known for design courses, and you will have ample of opportunities after passing out from there. Coming to it's placements, several graduates tend to start their own studio. According to LinkedIn, 377 out of 3500 graduates are Entrepreneurs (Nowhere close to the 60% stat by Sumit Shah, but I hope he can give some source). Popular companies (based on no. Of NIDians employed) are Cognizant, Microsoft, SAP, Adobe, Samsung, Godrej, HFI etc.
All your main/subject questions lead to one destination that is how much money you can earn after graduating from NID. If that is the only concern you have, then start your own business to earn. NID won't teach you how to earn money. You have to use your 100% brains, if you have to be on the top. How NID can help you to put you in good companies? It also depends on the stream you apply for. \
Now look at another scenario. Let's say you love textile design, and you want to apply for Textile/Apparel design at NID, right. What if I tell you that go for some of the UX related courses in NID to get more packages, will you just listen to me and go ahead with it? If yes, then you have got no passion for a particular design rather than earning money. If that is the case, then stop doing it. Have a vision where do you want to be and as a what. You will earn money for sure after graduating from colleges, like NID or IIT that would take some time along with the level of industry experience you have.

Since you have asked this question in design thread, I am assuming that you want to opt for any Master's degree course in Design after completing your M.Tech in computer science. If it is so then you can go for any design course depending on your interest in jewellery, clothing or shoes, etc., or if you want to use your skills of computer science, you can understand the needs of particular department and design required software or application for the same. This is applicable for all the courses. Also, you can opt for any technical course like MFT i.e Masters in fashion technology which will let you aware of what fashion world is up to and you can master the skills of implementing the fashion at the mass level. It will help you and in a factory or buying house. So, basically, it depends on your interest and whether you want to utilise your existing knowledge or not.
