Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat (NIT Surat) offers 5-year
integrated M.Sc. Programmes in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Eligibility criteria is
10+2 with with Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and English from any recognized Board in
India. Interested candidates will need to take the Common Admission Test for Sciences
(CATS) conducted by the institute.
This year, CATS is being conducted on June 27, 2010, and the last date of submitting
application form is June 18, 2010 (17.00 hrs.). You will also need to submit a DD of Rs.
1000 (for Open & OBC categories) and Rs.500 (for SC/ST) drawn in favour of "The Director,
SVNIT-Surat" and payable at Surat.

I know that your life will be doomed in Ramaiah Institute of Management studies. Please don't fall into the trap.
Nothing is good about this MBA College.
MS Ramaiah is a very good college.
RIMS just uses the same brand name, that is all.
Most people think that MS Ramaiah and RIMS is the same.
But, it is not the truth .
RIMS is way out of the main campus , and is under MS Ramaiah foundation. They promise good placement, but none of their promise are met at the end.
Same is for Ramaiah Institute of Business Studies (RIBS ) and Ramaiah Institute of Legal Studies (RILS)
These are not the same as MS Ramaiah.
They lie about the placement and everything.
They are very money minded people.
Poor infrastructure and management
Requires 90% attendance, otherwise Rs. 10000 fine.
Uniform is made of synthetic.
If you are late by 2 mins in class, you don't get attendance.
Teacher will confiscate your phone, if seen using anywhere inside the campus.
No fashion trends, like coloring hair or making bun or having Beard etc. is allowed.
It is a horrible college. Please don't join.

Nirma University is a well-known university, which is located at Gujarat. It is started in 1995 by Nirma Education and Research Foundation (NERF), it was the first self-financed engineering college in Gujarat. Within 18 years of inception, Institute of Technology is a leading hub of education, offering multidisciplinary undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes in engineering and other program also. It is 21 rank in India.
Institute of Technology Nirma University provide all the facilities campus and hostel both. Students take interest in any workshop and seminar. Placement are good, all students take jobs and grab any opportunity for MNCs that comes their way.
About 80% of the batch has been placed in the top company in India and other then India.
Highest Compensation Package: 15 Lacs pa.
Median Compensation Package: 8.00 Lacs pa.
Average Compensation Package: 8.10 Lacs pa.
Current placement season is expected to get over by February 2016 with 100% placement and improve year by year. So, this university has a good rating of 9/10 and all the students, facility and staff members are very supportive for any projects. If anybody has a plan for B.Tech, he/she should think of this university.
