Directorate of Distance Education offers three major specialisations under the MSc course. Mathematics, Geography, and, Computer Science are specialisaitons offered. The MSc course is offered in a the distance-learning mode lasting for two years. Admission to the MSc course is subject to a valid score in the last qualifying exam. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate of 45% to 50% from a recognised university/institute.

Yes, there are scholarship offered for the MSc course at DDE. The scholarships are mostly offered under the Government schemes. Students must qualify the eligibility criteria and submit all the necessary documents required for the scholarship. Few of the scholarships are as follows:

The last date to apply for the Directorate of Distance Education MSc course admission for January session 2025 without late fees is April 30, 2025, with a late fee of INR 500 candidates can apply by May 30, 2025, and with a late fee of INR 1000 candidates can apply by June 30, 2025. The university has also released the dates for July sessions 2025.

Admission to the MSc course is subject to a valid score in the last qualifying exam.
