Osmania University provides 27 undergraduate, 68 graduate, 2 doctoral, 24 postgraduate diploma, and 15 certificate programs. The university provides full-time and distant learning options for learning. Osmania University's own entrance exam, the Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (CPGET), is used to determine admission to PG, PG Diploma, and five-year Integrated degrees.

For admission to a number of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, the institution also accepts GATE, TSICET, CMAT, Andhra Pradesh ECET, and TS EAMCET in addition to CPGET. Admission to Osmania University courses, including BA, BSc, and BBA, is also based on merit.

Osmania University College for Women was founded in 1924 and has been a constituent college of Osmania University since 1989. It received "Five Stars" accreditation from the NAAC in the first cycle and a "A" grade in the next two cycles. This college offers traditional and self-financing undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programmes in the fields of science, commerce, and the arts. Osmania University College for Women solely accepts female students, as the name would imply. 

It is a non-profit, state-funded university managed and funded by the government. It is located in Hyderabad.

Osmania University college for Women was the British Residency for James Achilles Kirkpatrick from 1798 to 1805. It is sometimes referred to as Hyderabad Residency or Koti Residency. Durbar Hall, a historic structure constructed by the British, is also a part of it. This college has been upgraded to become Telangana State's First Women University and changed its name to "Telangana Mahila Vishwavidyalayam" in the year 2022. This college was founded in 1924, and in the following year, 2024, it will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Due to its rich history, this campus is also a popular tourist destination. This tourist attraction draws lots of foreign visitors. 

To be eligible for B.Sc. programs at G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Completion of 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in the relevant subject from a recognised board (as per Shiksha).
• Successful completion of 10+2 with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English as mandatory subjects.
• Meeting the minimum mark requirement of 50% for the unreserved category (as per Pantnagar University Admission).
• For B.Sc. in Agriculture Economics, a B.Sc. or B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture, Fisheries, or Forestry is required (as per the official website of G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology).
