The institute has highly qualified faculty comprising teaching staff of around 120+ spread over different departments in the faculty at Dr T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology. Most of them are highly qualified with M.Tech or PhD degrees to prove adequate subject know-how. Lecturers pay attention to aspects that are both professional and academic and help students in technical and research careers. It is convenient to note that all colleges provide appropriate proportions where students and faculty can have access to one another making the student-faculty ratio much more meaningful. Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology has well-qualified and experienced faculty members. The faculty-to-student ratio is favourable, moreover, most of the faculty members are serious in their careers with M.Tech/Ph.D qualifications. The institute has approximately 120+ members on its teaching staff, out of which many have industry professional and academic experience. Although faculty qualities are reported to be satisfactory in terms of quality, some student proposes better approaches to teaching.

For open categories, the computer Science engineering stream cutoff is normally between 45000/50000 ranks. It is true that for branches like Mechanical or Civil Engineering, it can go up to as high as 75,000 ranks. Concerning the quality of food in the hostel mess, students have closely associated the quality with an average one concerning Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology. It has a facility to provide affordable, and nutritional food but the food may not be as tasty and diverse as it is in another establishment. The mess normally caters for vegetarians, however, it has a selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. While there is evidence that sometimes students are complaining of having problems with taste and the cleanliness of the food served in student cafeterias, the food provides most of the needed nutrition.
