The GIBS Faculty incorporates significant industry relevance in the classroom by utilizing real business experience with academic theory. Most faculty members have worked in corporate or consultancy roles prior to joining GIBS, allowing them to frequently use current business examples (both live and case studies), current business practices, and demonstrate industry trends in class. Classes typically have a combination of simulations, role play, live-case projects, and corporate assignments from real-world businesses. Additionally, the Faculty has a regular practice of hosting guest speakers from industry, alumni, and/or CXO's to provide students with an understanding of the practical challenges of working in a business environment beyond their textbook studies. Faculty also work closely with their students through mentoring, providing guidance for work experience, and providing project feedback to ensure all students are prepared for new jobs and can successfully apply their classroom knowledge to real-world business situations upon graduation.

Yes, GIBS Business School provides opportunities for international placements and internships that are limited and based on a few partnerships and programs instead of being available to every GIBS student. The school partners with international universities and organizations to host students in countries like Canada, the U.S., and Dubai, depending on the availability of positions and the student's performance.

So as part of GIBS' Global Immersion Programs, students also travel to Singapore, Malaysia, and Dubai for industrial visits, workshops, and university visits; these experiences help students build an international corporate network and learn from world-class business professionals.

While the ability for students to receive international placements will ultimately depend on job availability, the eligibility of students, as well as recruiter participation, GIBS supports its students' goals for global internships or global assignments through GIBS' corporate relations team and with global partners, thereby increasing the student's opportunity to work internationally in support of their career development.

The GIBS new campus has created new opportunities for me to concentrate in my everyday work as well as my times away from studies with its peaceful atmosphere, its neatness and organisation of space. Having modern lecture rooms with ample light, air conditioning and quality technology ensure I have a suitable classroom to concentrate on my studies; similarly there are many quiet study areas which allow me to concentrate while studying alone after having studied with other students in class. After lectures, my opportunity to re-energise will be provided by the use of the green areas, open spaces, recreational facilities and comfortable communal areas; there are therefore plenty of choices of places where I can relax and clear my mind and be able to concentrate again for my following class or assignment submission. The mix of formal study areas and informal recreation areas keeps me on track with regard to my studies and helps me to feel motivated, relaxed, and productive throughout the day.

When I relate an experience in visiting the newly built GIBS campus, the three features of the campus that would leave a lasting impression upon my first visit are:

•  Well-designed dormitories that promote a healthy lifestyle on the GIBS campus by providing opportunity for students to participate in a wide range of fitness and sports activities, as well as comfortable accommodations to assist students in achieving academic success.
