Yes, you can get direct admission to the MBA course at SJES College of Management. The college takes admission through the management quota. For direct admission, students have to contact the administration department of the college. Students are still required to meet the course-specific qualification requirement.

At GIBS Bangalore, students get multiple specialisation options, so you are not forced to stick to only one area from the beginning. One good thing is that students also get an option for dual specialization, which helps if you want knowledge across two domains and want broader career opportunities.

The specializations generally include:

  • Finance – for banking, finance, investment, analyst, and related roles

  • Marketing – for sales, branding, digital marketing, and business development roles

  • Human Resources (HR) – for recruitment, talent management, and people-related roles

  • Business Analytics – for students interested in data and busin

As a student, what I personally felt was that the main focus was not only academics. It felt more like helping students become ready for jobs and real work life.

What I felt during my time there:

  • Focus on learning things beyond textbooks

  • Lots of presentations, projects, and activities

  • Encouragement to participate and build confidence

  • Exposure through internships, workshops, and events

  • Helping students become more prepared for placements and careers

For me, the overall feeling was simple — study, learn new things, build confidence, and leave college with better skills than when you joined.

Great Lakes is the clear winner for an Executive MBA (via their 1-year PGPM for candidates with 2+ years of experience).

Why Great Lakes Wins:

Flagship Status: The 1-year programme is Great Lakes' flagship course. The college pours all its corporate resources, elite faculty, and placement efforts into it.

Strong Placements: It offers dedicated, highly aggressive on-campus lateral placements, with an average CTC hovering around ₹17.8 LPA. It is a major hub for Consulting, Product Management, and Analytics.

Fast-Paced: It condenses a rigorous curriculum into 12 months, minimizing your time out of the workforce.
