While Jain University is primarily known for its Management & Engineering courses. The university also offers BSc & MSc across the specialisations of:

  • Biochemistry with Minor in Bioinformatics / Microbiology /
  • Chemistry with Minor in Biotechnology / Physics / Renewable Energy
  • Computational Biology with Minor in Data Science / Computer Science/ Chemistry
  • Computer Science with Minor in Data Science / Mathematics / Renewable Energy

While the procedure of admission to these courses depends on JET scores as well as Personal Interview rounds. Further the BSc courses also require Extempore/ Pick & Speak.

While not having personally attended Ramaiah Institute of Technology and Management a few key points found in honest student reviews are:

  • Placements: Around 85-90% of students were placed in the ECE branch with the highest and the lowest packages of INR 50 LPA and INR 7.6 LPA, respectively. While 10 to 15 students also got internships at top companies such as Samsung, Intel, Nokia, TI, etc.  (Ritesh - B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2027)

REVA University admissions are done on the basis of entrance exams. The entrance exams accepted by the university include CAT, MAT, REVA CET, REVA MAT, JEE Mains, COMDEK etc.

REVA University is a bit costly but still less expensive than other private universities. It is known to give affordable and good quality education at a reasonable fees. The fees for REVA University courses is between INR 1 Lacs to INR 7 lakhs.

Presidency University is a private university in Yelahanaka, Bangalore. The University is ranked 101-125 in national ranking & 201-300 in worldwide ranking by THE World University Rankings 2026. The highest package offered during 2025 placements was INR 16.42 LPA. Top companies like Federal Bank, Accenture, Deloitte, DHL, Ecolab, Mphasis, HCL, EY, Nestle, etc. took part in the placement drive. In short it is a good university in terms of placements, rankings, faculty & infrastructure.

Yes, RV College of Engineering in Bangalore is a good institute. It has got a rating of 4.2 on Shiksha. As per the reviews on Shiksha (Varun N,  B.E. in Information Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027) The college offers value for Money. Almost every student is placed, unless we are drowning in backlogs. Microsoft, AMD, Walmart, etc., are top recruiting companies, and they do take up a good number of students. FTEs and internships are offered frequently, which makes it a top college in all standards.

RV College of Engineering Bangalore is a self-financing engineering college. It is also known as RVCE. It is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). The institute is has ranked under the 101-150 band in the Engineering category of NIRF Rankings 2025. The highest package offered during the placements was INR 67 LPA to BTech graduate in 2025. For M.Tech average salary stood at INR 11.24 LPA. In short, it a good college for engineering & management courses with good rankings & placements.
