No, you cannot enroll for Mangalore University; the prescribed admission process applies here. In most of its courses, entry to Mangalore University occurs on the basis of merit and entrance tests for each course type. For the undergraduate and the postgraduate programs, you just have to pass the requirements to qualify and apply online while in other instances, appear for entrance exams conducted by Mangalore University. To be accepted into a B.A. or alternative B. Tech course at P. A., you must fulfill the following eligibility requirements to be admitted to the College of Engineering and Technology (PACET) in Coimbatore:
Pass the 10+2 or equivalent exam from an approved board or council with at least 45 percent of the possible points. Candidates who passed the 10+2 exam in a vocational subject must also have passed an engineering-related subject, such as physics, mathematics, or chemistry. Candidates from Karnataka who are SC, ST, or OBC must receive at least 40 percent of the possible points.

SJB Institute of Technology hostel fee is around INR 60,000 per year for boys as well as girls. The accommodation along with basic facilities is included in this fee. There are choices available for two-sharing and three-sharing rooms. All the basic amenities are available in the hostels, and even there is a provision for hygienic food, though according to one student review, the quality of food is to be improved.
