Bheemanna Khandre Institute of Technology (BKIT), previously known as Rural Engineering College, is a government-aided engineering college situated in Bhalki, Karnataka, and This college is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. It is not completely private. It receives some funds from government for its functioning. It has some autonomy.

Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS), Manipal, is the best college in Karnataka for the 6-year Pharm. D course. This college is affiliated with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. It is mainly known for its infrastructure, faculty, and hospital tie-ups for practical training like Kasturba Hospital.
