Yes, the University has a dedicated placement cell. The official placement report or brochure has not been released. However, the NIRF report of 2024 has been disclosed. As per the report, 1,612 out of 2,712 PG (2-year) students were placed during the 2023 drive. Furthermore, 39 out of 72 UG (5-year) students were placed. In addition to this, the median package offered to UG (4-year0 and UG (5-year) students was INR 7.50 LPA and INR 4.15 LPA, respectively. For PG (1-year) and PG (2-year) courses, the median package stood at INR 2 LPA and INR 3.75 LPA, respectively.

Yes, as a NRI student you can certainly apply for the programmes offered at University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. However, NRI candidates should satisfy the eligibility criteria as stated by the university to get a seat at the university. The basic eligibility is to have passed a two years Pre-University course (Class 12 equivalent) with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology subjects. Students applying through the Agri-Quota need to submit the documents at the time of application for the desired course at UAS Bangalore. Depending on the centre for which the student had specified in KEA application, the candidates will have to submit the following documents:

  • CET admission ticket
  • Certificate issued by the Tahsildar/ acknowledgement with RD number (for Agriculturist/labour in agriculture and allied sector)
  • Family tress (Vamshavruksha) issed by the Tahsildar in case of undivded family for Agriculture Quota

1. NATA or National Aptitude Test in Architecture
2. JEE Main Paper 2 ( B.Arch / B. Planning)
3. Under Graduate Entrance Test for Engineering and Medical and Dental Colleges of Karnataka.
4. CEC (Combined Entrance Commerce)

Cutoff marks & other eligibilities set by University should be followed by the candidate. In furthering their education, students have to be Class 12 pass outs with a minimum of 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and English as compulsory subject.

 School of Architecture, CMR University, could be said to be in the higher fee rank. The fee structure of B.Arch and M.Arch are 2-3 Lacs per annum whereas fee structure of Ph.D. programme is from 1. 5-2. 5 Lacs per annum. There are other expenses like lodging expenses or hostel fees, canteen fees, cost of materials may cost between rupees one to two Lacs per annum. However, the university provides scholarship and financial assistance to the deserving students so as to minimize the monetary pressure. One must also consider cost with relation to quality of education and openings in the job market.
