Kalyani Univerisy through its affiliated colleges offers BTech programs. As per Kalyani University cutoff 2024, the specialisations offered by the affiliated colleges were IT, CSE, ECE, and EIE. Moreover, if we talk about Information Technology WBJEE cutoff, the last round stood at 5166, also it was the second-most competitive course after CSE in 2024 for the General All India category candidates.

According to Kalyani University cutoff 2024, the last round cutoff stood between 3351 and 6975 for the General AI category candidates. Wherein, the most sought-after course among all the courses was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. Yes, Calcutta University offers over ten specialisations in BTech courses, for admission to all specialisations, the university accepts the WBJEE entrance examination except for BTech in Jute and Fibre Technology: For admission into the second year of BTech course
in Jute and Fibre Technology, the candidates should qualify JELET for lateral entry and should have any one of the following degrees: BSc with Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics, BSc in Textile and Clothing/ B.FAD or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ etc.

No, direct admission is not possible at Calcutta University in the BTech course. Students must appear for the WBJEE exam for the same. Thy must also fulfil the eligibility criteria required for admission.
