To apply for the B.E. / B.Tech programme at Saroj Institute of Technology and Management (SITM), Lucknow, candidates must follow the admission process outlined by the institute. For the majority of seats (85%), the institute conducts admissions through the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPCET), which is managed by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (AKTU). The remaining 15% seats are filled through direct admissions, based on merit, under the management quota.

Admission to B.E. / B.Tech courses at Dr. M.C. Saxena Group of Colleges is subject to a valid JEE Main, CUET, UPTAC, and UPCET BTech score, followed by a counselling and seat allotment process conducted by the college/ counselling body. Vacant seats will be filled by the institute based on the rank obtained in JEE-Mains.

The quality of food at the hostel mess of Dr. M.C. Saxena Group of Colleges (MCSGOC) in Lucknow is very bad. However, the college canteen at MCSGOC is designed to serve 1,500 students at a time and takes extra care to ensure hygienic food. The canteen serves tea, coffee, cold drinks, fruit juices, ice creams, fast foods, and special lunch packs. Food delivery services like Zomato and Swiggy are also available.
