Army Institute of Technology maintains a transparent merit system and offers no management or NRI quota for BE seats. No candidate can buy a seat through donations or high-fee structures. Every seat is given out based strictly on the rank obtained in entrance exams. This policy keeps the academic quality of the peer group exceptionally high.

Most importantly, a Parent's Service Record Certificate signed by competent military officers is required. Discharge books are necessary if the parent has retired from active army service.
