There are 7 faculties for international students at Nelson Mandela University. Some of these faculty members are Faculty of Education, Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences, Faculty of Engineering,  the Built Environment and Technology, etc.  

There are 30 academic schools available for international students at the university. Some of these schools are Business School, Primary School Education: Foundation Phase, School of Architecture, School of Behavioural & Lifestyle Sciences, etc.

NMIMS follows a structured refund policy primarily guided by UGC (University Grants Commission) norms. For the 2025-2026 academic session, the refund amount is determined by when you submit your formal withdrawal notice relative to the "last date of admission" (not necessarily the start of classes).

The national-level entrance exams accepted at JBIMS for admisison are MAHCET, CMAT, CAT and GMAT. In addition to this, the college also considers Common Entrance Test/ CET/ PET/ NET/ SET/ GRF for admission to different courses followed by Group Discussion and Personal ROunds for the final selection of students.

Under the criteria such as Quality Learning and Employability Weightage, the college holds a commendable position when considered against other universities. For the 'MBA' category, the institute's ranks have shown a fluctuating trend when evaluated against the ranking of the prior year. In 2023, JBIMS climbed 1 rank to #22 rank in the 'MBA' category by the Business Today ranking. In the 'MBA' category, JBIMS ranked in the top 50 in the country for the 3rd consecutive year in 2023.
