International Institute of Information Technology Bhubaneswar (IIIT Bhubaneswar) mainly offers full-time undergraduate (B.Tech), postgraduate (M.Tech), and Ph.D. programs in engineering and technology fields. The institute does not typically offer regular short-term certification or term training courses like private training institutes; however, it may conduct workshops, faculty development programs (FDPs), seminars, and short-term training programs occasionally in collaboration with industries or academic bodies. These programs are usually announced on the institute's official website and are limited in duration.

International Institute of Information Technology Pune (IIIT Pune) does provide admission under NRI (Non-Resident Indian) and CIWG (Children of Indian Workers in Gulf) categories. These admissions are usually conducted through JoSAA/CSAB counseling based on JEE Main ranks, similar to other centrally funded IIITs. Seats under these categories have higher tuition fees compared to regular seats, and candidates must submit valid NRI or CIWG supporting documents during the admission process.

The institute provides separate hostels for boys and girls with basic amenities such as furnished rooms, mess facilities, internet access, security, and common recreational areas. Hostel accommodation is generally available for most students, especially those coming from outside Bhubaneswar, and the charges are separate from the tuition fee.
