Registrations for admission starts from October. The application deadline is February last week. The selection procedure includes two phases. Candidates who clear Phase I can appear for Phase II. Phase I consists of Portfolio and SOP submission. Selection in Phase I is based on applicant's creativity and vision. The selected students have to appear for Phase II. It consists of a Studio Test and Personal Interview.

Phase II is likely to be conducted in May. Applications for admissions start from October. To appear for Phase II exam, candidates need to clear Phase I. It includes submission of application form along with a Portfolio and (SOP). The university selects students based on their application form. There are two parts in Phase II, Studio test and Interview. Both of these are conducted in MITID campus, Pune.

Application forms are open from October. The deadline to fill application form is around last week of February. The Phase I includes submission of Portfolio and Statement of Purpose (SOP). Both have to be submitted along with application form. After this, the university selects number of students for Phase II. Then, a Studio test and Interview is conducted on-campus. Phase II is conducted in May.

Yes, hostels are provided by the university. The total hostel fee per year is around INR 2 lakh. It is not mandatory to opt for hostels. However, if opted, mess & laundry charges are compulsory. As per Shiksha reviews, hostel rooms are provided in twin and triple sharing occupancy. Other facilities like furniture, Wi-Fi, laundry, mess, etc. are also available.

Yes, fees can be paid in installments. Total fee for first year is INR 6.8 lakh. It includes components like Mess & Laundry charges, Hostel charges and Academic Fee. Opting for hostel is a choice and also depends on availability. Some components are paid every year/semester like Examination Fee, Registration Fee, etc.

To apply, candidate must have completed their graduation in respective domains. Minimum aggregate of 50% and 45% for SC/ST/OBC is must. Candidates should have their Portfolio and SOP ready before filling application form. Fee for application form is INR 3,000. Then, some students are selected for next phase. Next phase includes an on-campus Studio Test and Interview.

Yes, MITID offers MDes in full-time mode for two-years. The course is offered in 12 specialisations. Some courses are Fashion Design, Animation Design, User Experience Design, etc. Admissions are conducted in two phases. Phase I includes submission of Portfolio and SOP with application form. Portfolio consists of all the previous work and creativity of an applicant. SOP is a written document stating why applicant wants to join MITID and pursue MDes. Phase II includes a Studio Test and interview. Final selection is based on scores of both phases.

No, MITID offers BDes for four-years only. It offers the course in full-time mode. Admissions are based on Design Aptitude Test (DAT) scores. The eligibility to apply is Class 12 with 45% aggregate. For reserved categories, 40% is minimum aggregate. The selection process includes DAT, Studio Test and PI. Final selection of students is based on combined scores of all three stages.

Yes, internships are a part of curriculum. There are two internships that needs to be completed by students during the course. A summer internship is to be done by third year students. Duration of summer internship is two months. It starts from May. Moreover, final year students have to do a full-time internship in a company. The university guides students for internship and placement opportunities.
