Primarily, Mangalore University offers courses such as BPEd and MBA on the basis of valid scores of KCET. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in Class 12 for UG level admissions and graduation for PG level course admissions. Mangalore University offers BCA as a 3 year UG level programme. Admission to BCA is offered on the basis of merit and would require candidates to secure a minimum aggregate of 35% to 45% in Class 12. Candidates must secure valid scores in previously attempted institutional level entrance exam. However, there has not been any other set of entrance exams indicated by the university for the admission to BCA course.

Yes, Canara PU college Mangalore offers humanities stream for pre-university (PU) education. The subjects which are included in their stream are as follows:

Getting NIT surathkal with 88 percentile in JEE Mains and belogs to SC category and having home state quota is nearly possible but not guaranteed as it depends on many factors:
- According to SC category marking criteria, they usually have relaxed cutoffs but it depends upon the overall performancr of students in your category
- Home state quota can be helpful for other best NITs and it will give you an advantage.home state students generally have lower cutoff than other state students but for NIT surathkal, competition is still difficult even with home state quota because it is one of the top NITs in india
