For B.E. (UG):
You need to pass 12th (PUC) with Physics, Mathematics + a third subject (e.g., Chemistry/Biology/CS), scoring a minimum of 45% (General) or 40% (reserved Karnataka categories). Diploma holders with similar scores are also eligible .
For Postgraduate (M.Tech/MBA/MCA):
MBA/MCA: A bachelor's degree with 50% aggregate (45% for reserved), plus relevant entrance test scores (e.g., PGCET, MAT) .
M.Tech: B.E./B.Tech degree with at least 50%, and GATE qualification preferred .

There are mixed reviews about the food available at Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT, Mangalore). Some students mention that the food served is good, but others mention that the food is not worth the money. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is served in the mess. The food is prepared hygienically.
