Getting admission in any of the IIMs is tough as the competition is quite high. The cut offs are high and the selection process is tough. This is due to the presence of limited number of seats. The admission may be difficult but it is not impossible. Hard work and determination are the key factors for a successful admission.

Maximum 4-5 classes are held everyday for students at NITIE Mumbai. NITIE Mumbai experience is a mixture of education and enjoyment. Students attend classes from morning to evening and afterwards take part in the extracurricular activities. Overall the college life is a blend of enjoyment and serious studies.

NITIE, Mumbai is now known as IIM Mumbai and it is ranked 6th by NIRF 2025 under the Management category. It is below the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, and various other IIMs. It is slowly climbing the ladder by showing significant inprovement in education and placements.

NITIE Mumbai was converted to IIM Mumbai and hence it is famous like any other IIM. IIM Mumbai offers Post Graduate Diplomas in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, and Sustainability Management. IIM Mumbai is known to offer the General Management Programme (GMP) for several Defense Officers. This NITIE Mumbai converted to IIM Mumbai arranges student exchange programmes with several partner universities across Europe, North America, South America, and South-East Asia.

IIM Mumbai was earlier known as NITIE Mumbai. IIMs are known for their flagship PGDM courses. Whereas IITs are known for their flagship BTech and M.Tech courses. Hence, both are best in their own way. Graduating from any one means that there is a great career ahead of the students. Both IIMs and IITs is a hub of great placement opportunities. The infrastructure of both IIMs and IITs is quite good. Hence, which one is the best depends on what the student is acually looking for in a college or a university.

IIM Mumbai students enjoy their life in Mumbai. From getting admission in IIM Mumbai to finding suitable job opportunities, the life is good and quite rewarding.
