Congrats for your good rank. According to past records, the cut-off for mechanical engineering in NIT Rourkela is around 14000 to 15000. So, yes, there is more chance of getting mechanical engineering branch which you have chosen. You have the caliber as well as the rank which is mostly needed. So you can easily get admission easily into the college. NIRF ranking 2018 has figured NIT Rourkela at 15th position in Engineering category and 42nd position in Overall against last year's Overall position at 46th. Hi Bibhas,
To take admission in KIIT Bhubaneswar, the only procedure is that you have to give the KIITEE exam but you have failed to do so. So you have lost the chance to take admission in KIIT this year but nevertheless you have given CLAT so please see whether your scores are up to the mark as in, they match the cutoff or not? if they do, then you can go for counseling and get into one of the NLUs as it is any day better than KIIT.

This is quite a good course equipped with modern laboratories and trainning course designed as per the syllabus with partnership of many companies like Bosch, CTTC, etc.This branch most often have an industrial visit followed by a decent placement most are in it sector but there are core companies like L&T, Bosch, Voltas, etc., followed by Cognizant, Infosys and Wipro in IT the sector. Tata Power visited the campus and also Tata Steel visits the campus of CV Raman.

You have a chance because IGIT cut-off is low as compared to other Odisha government colleges, I am not sure about CS. You can apply and hope for getting it, you have a chance there but wait up to the last round.

KSOM has been ranked as the best B School of Odisha, 5th best B School of Eastern India and 30th best B School in India as per NIRF 2018, MHRD, government. Of India rankings, released on 3rd April 2018. So, I would suggest KSOM.
