"Initial days were synonymous with 10+ hours of screen time because you were added to multiple WhatsApp groups. There was a WhatsApp group for everything, state-wise groups, city-wise groups, sports groups- you name it, and there was a group for it. Everyone was excited to know more about their batchmates; late-night video calls were the only way to do it, so we made the most out of it.
Later, when the course commenced, a typical day began with morning lectures at 9:30 am with breaks of 10–15 minutes, which continued until 1 pm. The visiting faculty at SCMHRD is good at their subjects if you pay

The student-to-faculty ratio varies from 20:1 to 50:1 for each stream at MIT Institute of Design. Each faculty member there is qualified and suitable for their area of competence. HOD are approachable and are great with students. The faculty will instruct you on the material covered in the curriculum and will only accept assignments that have been turned in.

The campus has good classrooms, Wi-Fi, and the library facility. Workshops with tools and equipment for product design, fashion design with a lathe, milling machines, etc., are available here. They also have a state-of-the-art transportation studio for clay modelling. There are the mess and hostels.

The MIT Institute of Design website mentions reservations for Maharashtra State Candidates, SC, ST, VJNT-A, VJNT-B, VJNT-C, VJNT-D, OBC, and EWS categories.
Maximum Social or vertical reservation will be up to 50% only and additional 10% for EWS. Category wise reservations is applicable for Maharashtra state candidates only.
