The cutoff depends on college. There are many colleges for diploma in computer science .
There are many polytechnic entrance exam. In every exam, you have to score best. The rank 1 to 15000 is rthe best rank for all exams. It make secure your seat in computer science.

Om Valmik Mapari, government owned polytechnic at Pune is famous for attracting students with high percentage obtained in class 10th examination. This results students only with high percentage becoming successful in getting admission in this place. In spite of this there is no indication that Government polytechnic at Pune has prescribed in sort of cutoff for the courses.
