You need to appear for MUHS Entrance Exam and the admissions are based on the marks obtained in test. * Candidate must have cleared 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
* The candidate must be from the science stream with compulsory subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
* The candidate must have scored a minimum aggregate score of least 60% (55% in some institutes) at 10+2 level.
* Clearing an entrance exam conducted by the Maritime Institute as approved by the DGCA is mandatory in order to get admission.
* There are a host of physical and medical requirements and tests that also need to be met if a candidate wishes to pursue the course.

Tolani is a very well known name in academic circles for their Marine engineering courses. They have also a very vibrant and dynamic placements cell. Invariably majority of the students get placed by the institute. I think you should not worry on this account at least at the moment seeing the trend in the cargo movement by ships today and in the coming years.
