Hi Swapnil,
VIT mechanical engineering department is one of the very good departments. As far as placements are concerned I would like to share an experience of my roommates. Two years back, two M.Tech. 2nd year students were my roommates. I remember that they had sat for an interview of at least 5-6 companies in front of me. Also, there were some more companies for which their profile wasn't suitable.
So, VIT gets many companies for M.Tech students as well. Many students get placed. As I'm from chemical engineering department, I can not tell you the exact number of placed students, but yes - placements are not so bad (as compared to oth

50% required in +2 and you can apply they have total 120 seats so the selection depends on NATA score. There is no particular score. It depends on the score of applying students and their rank.

Indeed, it is possible. If you stay nearby the IBSG campus, I would suggest you to visit the campus and request them, I'm sure, they will help you in change of the campus or ask the admission counsellor of IBS. He'll also be able to help you in this.
