Yes, maths is a compulsory subject in 12th science. There are in total 5 subjects in 12th. Those are physics, chemistry, match's, English and the 5th one is optional; either you can take computers or physical education.

There is no entrance exam for BCA in Pune University. The admission is done on the basis of your 12th maths marks generally. Score well in 12th and you're all set.

To get admission for BCA in SPPU all you need is your 12th standard score and your mathematics score with minimum 50% marks, without maths subject in your 12th you won't be eligible for BCA in Pune University and what score of 12th would be required completely depends on the college you choose.
